2.    SCIENCE

a.     Life of a Tree (tree cookies and things that can affect growth of trees)

b.     Bark Patterns, Tree Silhouettes

c.      How humans threaten or enhance forests

d.    UNIT TEST – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6

3.    LANGUAGE ARTS

a.     Novel = The Girl Who Owned a City (chapter 3-5)

b.     Activities related to the novel (comprehension questions, vocabulary work, creative thinking/writing activities)

c.      Literacy Centers – work with grammar

d.     Daily reading, Writer's Workshop - one piece of writing due Friday, October 6

4.    FRENCH

a.     Conversational work = sentences, questions

a.     Monthly journal page – due Thursday
